Tournament MVP and Perth Wildcats veteran Jesse Wagstaff was the star for the Australian team, sealing the deal in the decider against New Zealand with a layup.

The Wildcats’ captain, who recently re-signed with the club for a 14th NBL season, hit 42 points across five games, including the winning bucket in the final.

Adelaide’s Daniel Johnson was also a standout during the tournament, knocking down 30 points in five appearances.

Four-time NBL champion Greg Hire and NBL1 star Andrew Steel were also key members of Australia’s winning squad in Singapore.

Wagstaff was also named in the Team of the Tournament.

Australia’s women’s team, the defending champions, finished second overall after 14-10 defeat at the hands of China.

WNBL and WNBA player Anneli Maley was named in the Team of the Tournament after scoring 21 points in five games.
