NBA interest grows for Armstrong

The interest from NBA teams in Cairns Taipans star Taran Armstrong continues to grow according to Newscorp. 

Newscorp has reported “multiple NBA scouts have travelled to Australia to watch the Taipans star in person and to evaluate his performance”, which coach Adam Forde confirmed he is taking calls about the 22-year-old. 

Armstrong is averaging 17 points, 4.2 rebounds. 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game in an expanded offensive role this season, having enjoyed matches where he has scored 29, 28 (twice) and 24 points. 

The Taipans host the South East Melbourne Phoenix tonight at 7:30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
