McCall in line for Round 2 return

Tahjere McCall will return to Cairns' lineup for Saturday's game against Brisbane.

After initially not expected to be back on the court until Round 6, Cairns star Tahjere McCall has made a speedy recovery from a hip injury and will suit up in the Taipan’s Round 2 game against Brisbane.

McCall injured his hip at the NBL Blitz and was listed as out of contention until Round 6 as recently as the Taipans' Round 1 injury update.

They put no official timeframe on his return in the Round 2 injury update.

McCall has been imperious for the Taipans since joining the club ahead of NBL22, and has completed off-season stints with NZNBL side Otago and French side FOS Provence Basket.

Import big Josh Roberts has already made his return to the line-up this round, however he failed to step onto the court in the Taipans' Thursday night win over South East Melbourne.

Exciting young guard Taran Armstrong and development player Kian Dennis remain sidelined with a foot and shoulder injury respectively.

Cairns play Brisbane on Saturday at 8pm AEDT live on ESPN via Kayo.
