Magnay’s return timeline still a mystery

Injured Tasmania star Will Magnay’s return from a foot injury remains unknown, with the club not putting a timeline on his comeback.

Magnay suffered the injury while playing in Spain during the off-season and hasn’t yet suited up for the JackJumpers in NBL24.

Assistant coach Jarrad Weeks has all but ruled Magnay out of Sunday’s fixture against Sydney, but did say the 25-year-old is improving.

“(Will) is probably unlikely this weekend,” Weeks said via Newscorp.

“He still has some fitness things that he needs to tick off before he jumps back into games but he is tracking well. He keeps improving every week and with Will it’s probably going to be a feel thing.”

Magnay has had an injury riddled career and has played just 29 of a possible 66 games for Tasmania over the past two seasons.

The JackJumpers battle the Kings on Sunday at 4pm AEDT live on ESPN via Kayo Freebies, 10 Peach and 10 Play.
