The Tasmania JackJumpers have signed Tristan Forsyth as a Nominated Replacement Player for NBL23.
Forsyth spent the last two seasons at the South East Melbourne Phoenix, playing four games, and is set to provide cover for injured big man Will Magnay.
The 6-foot-10 centre played college basketball at Sequoias (2017-2019) and California Baptist (2019-2020).
“Tristan is a fantastic athlete and gives us some additional size and comes with NBL experience” JackJumpers coach Scott Roth told the team's website.
“I think Tristan can really help on both sides of the ball, in particular pick-and roll-situations with our guards, Josh Magette and Milton Doyle.”
“Will (Magnay) is a few weeks behind where we hoped he’d be, but having Tristan here gives some give us some insurance as we give Will as much time as he needs to recover fully.”

Tasmania has also signed 20-year-old forward Josh Tomasi as a Development Player, following the club's trials earlier this month.
Tomasi grew up in Melbourne and spent two years at St. Cloud University in Minnesota.
“We’re really thrilled to have selected Josh from the trials. They were highly competitive and we saw some incredible talent that really excited us for the future,” Roth added.
“Josh is an emerging talent and we are excited about what he can bring, especially day-to-day. We’re in for some very competitive practices which will only benefit us during the season.”
