Illawarra Hawks statement: Justin Tatum

The Illawarra Hawks have released the following statement regarding Basketball Australia's decision to sanction Justin Tatum. Tatum breached Basketball Australia's Code of Conduct for comments made in his post-match press conference last Thursday.
The Illawarra Hawks and Illawarra Hawks Head Coach, Justin Tatum have accepted a sanction determined by Basketball Australia (BA) having breached BA’s Code of Conduct for comments made at the post-match media conference after the Hawks match against Melbourne United on Thursday 24 October.
The incident has been dealt with under the BA Code of Conduct for Elite Level Participants and the Club and Justin Tatum have been issued a $3,000 fine by BA.
Head Coach Justin Tatum has also issued an apology for his comments.
“As the Head Coach of the Illawarra Hawks, I acknowledge the responsibility of my role at the club and the example I set for my players and coaching staff and I apologise for comments made at the post-match media conference in reference to the NBL officials.”
The club will now focus on our upcoming match against the Perth Wildcats this Friday 1 November and will be making no further comment on this matter.
