In the last few weeks it’s been dominating the headlines that Tacko Fall has been hanging around the Breakers camp, while he rehabs from injury.
With the impending departure of Gillespie, it looks increasingly likely that Fall will join New Zealand for the remainder of the NBL season.
Fall, who is close to full health, will bring a much different look to the New Zealand team than Gillespie.
It’s also worth keeping an eye Jo Lual-Acuil Jr’s moves, after reports surfaced he could be leaving China. The former Melbourne United star will no doubt attract interest, particularly if Fall isn’t 100 per cent.
Gillespie has been a vital piece in the Breakers’ early success, especially on the defensive end, averaging two blocks per game.
Expect more to become clear over the coming days.
