Hawks to “stop mucking around”

The message from the Illawarra Hawks playing group is simple heading into tonight’s clash with the Tasmania JackJumpers: “stop mucking around”.

Illawarra will look to solidify top position on the ladder while hoping to bounce back from consecutive defeats to the South East Melbourne Phoenix and Cairns Taipans.

“They’ve been more vocal these past two days of wanting to get that hunger back more than anything this season,” coach Justin Tatum told the Illawarra Mercury.

“Players have been saying, ‘Let’s stop mucking around, let’s do this, let’s get on top of this and find ways to get better on the court’.”

Tip-off between the Hawks and JackJumpers is 7:30pm AEDT tonight, live on ESPN.
