Tyler Harvey has signed a three-year deal with the Illawarra Hawks.

The Illawarra Hawks have confirmed the return of fan-favourite import Tyler Harvey on a three-year deal, with a club option in the final season.

Harvey will have played for the Hawks for seven seasons should the final year of the contract be actioned, making him one of the most successful import stories in recent history.

Prior to arriving in Illawarra, the star guard was drafted by the Orlando Magic and spent time in the G-League, Germany and France.

The 30-year-old was named to the All-NBL First Team and earned an MVP nomination in his first season at the club. He has since established himself as one of the most effective closers in the history of the NBL.

Harvey's hit dramatic, long-range game-winners against the New Zealand Breakers and Cairns Taipans in the last two seasons, along with a myriad of clutch shots for the Hawks over the past four seasons.

Overall he has played 125 games for the club and averages 17.6 points per game.

In 33 games across NBL24 he averaged 15.1 points per game on 40 per cent shooting from the field.

Harvey expressed his excitement at the prospect of returning to the club for a further three seasons.

"There's no place like the 'Gong," he said. "I mean, home."
