Hawks pair selected for 3x3 Asia Cup

Illawarra pair Todd Blanchfield and William Hickey have been selected in the Australian squad that will head to Singapore to compete in the 3x3 Asian Cup.

The tournament will be held between March 27-31 and also acts as preparation for the Olympic qualifiers that are set to be held in May.

Blanchfield was a member of the Gangurrus side that won a silver medal in the 2023 edition of the tournament alongside Adelaide 36ers legend Daniel Johnson, former NBL champion Lucas Walker and Andrew Steel.

Australia suffered defeat to Mongolia in the final of the 2023 tournament.

Blanchfield and Hickey will head to Singapore, alongside Centre of Excellence duo Josh Davey and James O’Donnell.

Anneli Maley, Lauren Mansfield, Alex Wilson and Marena Whittle will represent the women’s team and are hoping to repeat their gold medal success from 2023.
