Due to unprecedented demand, the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will make their long-awaited return to New Zealand.

Due to unprecedented demand, the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters will make their long-awaited return to New Zealand in July, as part of the Spread Game Tour.

With ticket sales for the Australian tour already past 85 per cent, the Globetrotters have announced the Spread Game Tour will come to Auckland on July 16 and Wellington on July 17.

The Globetrotters are set to thrill crowds across the country with full-court family fun, including sensational ball-handling, dunking, big plays and brand-new characters across all four quarters.

“We are ecstatic to be returning to New Zealand for the first time since 2019,” Handles Franklin said.

“New Zealand has one of the most passionate basketball fan bases in the world, and we can’t wait to entertain families in Auckland and Wellington this July.”

The Globetrotters currently hold 21 Guinness World Record Titles, having set an amazing 5 new records on Guinness World Records Day in 2018.

The Spread Game Tour is all about honouring the late and great Curly Neal. Neal played for 22 seasons with the Globetrotters between 1963-1985, appearing in more than 6,000 games in 97 countries. His number 22 was retired by the Globetrotters in 2008.
