Chris Goulding will get a look at one of the world’s most exciting young basketball talents on Wednesday morning, as his Paris Basketball side faces off with Victor Wemanyama’s Metropolitans 92 in the French LNB Pro A.

The game – which tips off at 4am AEST – is set to prove crucial to the competition’s playoff race. Paris, which is led by former Sydney coach Will Weaver, currently occupy the final post-season spot on the ladder, however a loss could see them lose their footing, should BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque win their fixture.

There will be a quartet of familiar faces within Goulding’s opposition, with NBL23 imports TaShawn Thomas, Michael Frazier and Barry Brown Jr – as well as former Breakers import Hugo Besson – all currently playing for the side.

Thomas is averaging 10.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in 28.5 minutes per game, across his 12 appearances so far, while Brown only signed a deal with the side earlier this week.

With every team's final regular season fixture set to be played at the same time, Goulding can count on a drama-filled day reminiscent of Round 18 of NBL24, when his Melbourne United side missed the post-season by points percentage alone. On that day it Thomas' Wildcats defeating the Sydney Kings in the final fixture of the home and away season which proved the decider.

Goulding can count former LA Clipper Tyrone Wallace among his teammates who will be looking to take down Wembenyama’s star-studded lineup in the final game of the regular season.
