Froling headed to Summer League

Illawarra Hawks big Sam Froling is on his way to the NBA's Summer League next week, set to line up with the Indiana Pacers.

Froling has been rewarded for his outstanding form across NBL24, as well as his recent appearances with the Australia Select team and in the NZNBL.

He currently sits in the top three for scoring (22.7 points a game) and rebounds (11.8) in New Zealand’s domestic league.

Froling averaged 14.6 points and 7.9 rebounds across his most recent NBL campaign.

He won the league’s Next Generation Award as the best young player under 25.

The 24-year-old will play alongside fellow Australian talent Johnny Furphy, who was recently selected with the 35th overall pick at the NBA Draft.
