Grant Anticevich has signed a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers.

Former South East Melbourne forward Grant Anticevich will be back in the NBL next season, following the signing of a one-year deal with the New Zealand Breakers.

Anticevich last appeared in the NBL during NBL23, where he embarked on his rookie professional campaign. He has since played for NZNBL side Southland, and German Basketball Bundesliga side BG Gottingen.

He played 25.4 minutes over 34 games in Germany in his most recent season, averaging 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists.

Anticevich has also registered appearances in the FIBA Europe Cup and Basketball Champions League.

The 25-year-old joins Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Mojave King, Sam Mennenga, Mitch McCarron, Jonah Bolden, Dane Pineau and Sean Bairstow on New Zealand’s roster for the new season.

Two import spots and one local spot are still to be filled, with the Breakers saying they’re likely to sign another NBL Next Star.

The Breakers squad assembles on August 12 in Auckland for pre-season.
