DJ locks in new deal

Tuesday, January 30, 2024
DJ Vasiljevic has inked a three-year contract extension with the Adelaide 36ers.
Having arrived in Adelaide after the opening of the NBL24 season, Dejan Vasiljevic is set to continue his stay in the City of Churches, signing a three-year extension with the organisation.
Vasiljevic returned to the NBL with the 36ers following a stint chasing his NBA dream with the Washington Wizards, with whom he represented at the 2023 NBA Summer League after signing an Exhibit-10 training camp contract.
“This decision was a no-brainer for me, I am somewhere where I am wanted,” Vasiljevic said.
“I could have tested the free agency market, but I’m where I want to be.
“This season has been great in front of sell out home crowds and I’m looking forward to building on that over the next three years.”
Prior to his time with the Wizards organisation Vasiljevic was a key member of the Sydney Kings side that won back-to-back championships in NBL22 and NBL23.
He’s currently averaging a career-high 18.4 points and 3.3 assists per game this season, and has been a key pillar in Adelaide’s late-season surge towards the top six.
