Daniels to compete against world’s best talent

Melbourne United’s Next Star for NBL26 has been invited to compete at the Nike Hoop Summit.

One of the most prestigious event in youth basketball, the Nike Hoop Summit will take place at the Moda Center in Portland on April 12, 2025. The Nike Hoop Summit has been held annually since 1995, except for 2001-03 and 2020-21, and has been in Portland since 2008.   

The 2025 World Select men’s roster includes the likes of Ikenna Alozie, Kiyan Anthony, Tajh Ariza, Dash Daniels, Bogoljub Marković, Omer Mayer, Jaion Pitt, Eric Reibe, Michael Ružić, Dame Sarr, Tounde Yessoufou and Boyuan Zhang.  The men’s team will be led by coach Marshall Cho of South Korea. Cho will head the team for the second year with experience coaching Basketball Without Borders and NBA Africa. 

Dash Daniels, who was recently named the Defensive MVP and an All-Star at the Basketball Without Border camp in San Francisco, will have the opportunity to compete against a stacked Team USA selection. 

The 2025 USA Men’s Nike Hoop Summit roster features Darius Acuff Jr., Nate Ament, Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, Mikel Brown Jr., Chris Cenac Jr., AJ Dybantsa, Jalen Haralson, Jasper Johnson, Nikolas Khamenia, Malachi Moreno and Koa Peat.  

The head coach for the USA men is Frank Bennett (Chaminade College Prep, MO) and he will be assisted by Rob Brost (Bolingbrook High School, IL) and Charlie Ward (Florida High, FL).
