The South East Melbourne Phoenix's huge task to make the Finals has now become a mammoth one, with star Mitch Creek ruled out of the Throwdown on Saturday night.

The club announced Creek would miss the game due to a heel issue, adding to the growing list of injuries for Mike Kelly's team.

Gary Browne, Alan Williams, Matt Kenyon and Craig Moller were already on the sidelines, but the addition of Creek to that list is an almighty blow for the bottom-placed side.
