Cotton says “not time” for contract talk

Wednesday, December 4, 2024
“I will assess all that stuff when it's time … it’s not time for me right now.”
Fresh off his historic 59-point performance, Perth Wildcats superstar Bryce Cotton says “it’s not the time” to think about his next contract.
Cotton’s future is unknown as he is out of contact at the end of the season, and the four-time MVP isn’t letting his mind drift to his next deal.
“I will assess all that stuff when it's time ... it’s not time for me right now,” Cotton told 10 News.
“The talk is still there but for me, I’ve had to focus so much on overcoming injuries, stuff I haven’t been used to.

“My mind has been elsewhere, and I think that’s where it needs to be. Continuing to focus on the present moment and doing what I need to do through this season.”
Cotton leads the NBL in scoring at 22.8 points per game and has helped Perth establish an 8-7 record, ahead of Friday night’s clash with the Illawarra Hawks.
Tip-off between the Wildcats and Hawks is 9:30pm AEDT on Friday, live on ESPN.
