Bryce Cotton – 41 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists | 66 SuperCoach points per game
He might have endured a sluggish start to the season, but the NBL world is once again running out or superlatives for the brilliance of Perth star Bryce Cotton.

The two-time Fans MVP has been a dominant force in Perth’s incredible six-game winning streak, and he’s led the once embattled – now title challenging – side up to third on the ladder, where they’re behind Tasmania on percentage alone.

His 41 points against the Kings has seen him leapfrog his own season-record for points in a game, and while Sydney’s defence has been stop and start in NBL24, the fact Cotton was closing in on a 40-point double-double against the team who entered the round second in the standings, makes his efforts even more incredible.

Alan Williams – 10 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists | 47 SuperCoach points per game
Alan Williams’ performance against New Zealand in Round 9 is the definition of high-level quiet achievement. While he may not have scored to the standard we as fans might be used to, he was happy to play second fiddle on offence to set himself up for a near triple-double in the win.

Williams struggled to find consistency with his shot over the course of the game, but with Mitch Creek top scoring with 26 points, and four other South East Melbourne players scoring in double-digits he was happy to turn provider.

His eight assists is a career-high in the NBL, and half of his rebounds came on the offensive end as an undersized Breakers struggled to cope with Williams’ pure brute strength.

Tahjere McCall – 26 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4 assists per game | 44.5 SuperCoach points per game
Welcome back Tahjere McCall. The Taipans star has endured an inconsistent start to NBL24 due to injury, NBLxNBA and the birth of his child, but one of the most exciting and fun players to watch in the competition was at his full force over Cairns’ Round 9 double-header.

There were few positives to be taken from the drought-breaking loss to Queensland rivals Brisbane on Friday, but it couldn’t be argued that McCall didn’t do everything in his power to drag the toothless Snakes over the line, with 29 of the team’s 79 points.

Adam Forde got funky with his lineups against Melbourne, and McCall was one of the only survivors from the defeat against Melbourne just two days prior.

He was once again playing to an immense level, but this time he had more help on the scoreboard from fellow import duo Patrick Miller and Josh Roberts.

In contrast to his scoring breakout against Brisbane, McCall absolutely feasted from the free throw line against United. He hit 13 of his 16 attempts from the charity stripe – which proved crucial in the 12-point win.

Mitch Creek – 26 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals | 44 SuperCoach points per game
For how good guys like Alan Williams, Gary Browne and Will Cummings can be, make no mistake, South East Melbourne is still Mitch Creek’s team.

The Phoenix star was at his best in the win over New Zealand. He was his blunt and bullish presence inside the paint and on the defensive end, while also showing the grace and powerful athleticism to consistently hit the scoreboard.

Perhaps most impressively, Creek’s yips from the free throw line all but disappeared against the Breakers. He may still only be shooting 64 per cent from the line in NBL24, but his six of seven shooting from the charity stripe was crucial in a win that only blew out in the final quarter.

Post-game he revealed he’d endured a remarkably difficult couple of weeks and expressed great pride in being able to put in a performance like that under duress – and rightly so.

Patrick Miller – 22 points, 8.5 assists, 4 steals per game | 43 SuperCoach points per game
While Patrick Miller could easily hold his head high after Cairns’ defeat to Brisbane, it was the win over Melbourne where it all came together for the Snakes – and the import guard was at the heart of almost everything that was positive in the victory over the ladder-leaders.

Miller added 12 points and seven assists against the Bullets, it was against United where he showed exactly why Adam Forde brought him in as Shannon Scott’s replacement this season.

The 31-year-old provided the first double-double with points and assists of anyone in the NBL this season, and is currently the only player to have added 10 assists in a game while scoring eight points. He scored 32.

He hit 12-16 shots, 7-8 free throws and dished just two turnovers in a game where he seemed to have the ball every second touch in the Taipans’ offence.

There’s no denying he played well against the Bullets, but it’s easy to argue he played the game of the season against the best defence in the competition.

Keanu Pinder – 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists | 43 SuperCoach points per game
There’s no shame in being the second option to Bryce Cotton on any team, and back-to-back NBL Most Improved winner Keanu Pinder has settled into his role on the Wildcats perfectly in recent weeks.

The former Taipan seems to have been given the go-ahead to stray away from the basket at times during Perth’s current winning run, and he’s making sure defences are being kept accountable for the added passing dimension he brings to the Wildcats’ offence.

Outside of his season-high assist tally Pinder got stuck into the nuts and bolts of what has made him such a fearsome prospect in this league. He was efficient at scoring from the paint and a combative beast on the board.

He missed just two shots inside the arc in the win over Sydney, and four of his nine rebounds came on the offensive end.

DJ Hogg – 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks | 40 SuperCoach points per game
DJ Hogg’s solid individual performance may have come in a losing effort for the Kings, but in a game where the Kings often seemed just a little bit happy-go-lucky when shooting from beyond the arc, the former Taipan was scarily efficient on offence.

Hogg did a little bit of everything in the defeat. He hit half of his three-point attempts en route to 20 points, pulled in boards, dished four assists and ended the game without a turnover.

In fact, only he and Jordan Hunter – who played half the minutes Hogg did – ended the game with a positive plus/minus.

Parker Jackson-Cartwright – 17.5 points, 8 assists, 3 steals per game | 38.5 SuperCoach points per game
Mody Maor teased the Breakers were going to debut a new offence this week in order to cover for the absence of star guard Will McDowell-White. New Zealand was definitely more effective in its Round 9 double-header, but one thing that didn’t change was Parker Jackson-Cartwright’s involvement.

The diminutive guard ended the win over Adelaide just one assist shy of his first NBL double-double. Those nine assists came alongside 21 points and a trio of steals, in a clash that saw Izayah Le’Afa take most of the plaudits for his lights out three-point shooting.

Then against South East Melbourne, the Breakers’ offence stumbled slightly. Jackson-Cartwright was once again crucial to helping the scoreboard tick over in a game that remained tight until the ten-point final quarter margin, that went the way of the Phoenix.

He had seven assists to once again accompany a trio of steals, and he was once again the second-top scorer for his team.
