The Brisbane Bullets have signed Emmett Naar as a Nominated Replacement Player for the remainder of NBL25.

A proven star performer in the NBL1, Emmett Naar has signed with the Bullets as their Nominated Replacement Player for the remainder of the NBL25 season.

The 29-year-old previously played for the Illawarra Hawks in 2018-2022, and has developed his on-court game through the NBL1 with the Norths Bears, Ballarat Miners, Ringwood Hawks, and most recently the Mackay Meteors.

Naar also spent four years in the US collegiate system, playing with the Saint Mary's College Gaels.

The Canberra-born was named in the 2024 NBL1 National Finals All-Star Five team, where he averaged 17.3 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Meteors.

“Emmett has proven runs on the board in our league and will provide some added experience at the point-guard position for us,” Bullets head coach, Justin Schueller said.

“He has shown that he can impact the game with his high IQ and offensive skill set and will fit in with what we are doing at the defensive end.

“He is a high character person who our fans will love. I look forward to coaching him again.”

“This is an incredible opportunity for me. I’m ready to bring my energy and passion to the team. I’m excited to learn from my teammates and coaches and help the Bullets achieve their goals this season,” Naar added.

Naar averaged 4.1 points a game across 14.5 minutes, during 100 games for Illawarra.

He will replace Sam McDaniel, who is out for the entirety of the season with a shoulder issue.
