McDowell-White missed the entirety of the NBL Blitz in addition to the Breakers’ season-opener due to the injury.
After an NBL23 season that earned him a nomination as the league’s Most Improved Player, McDowell-White was one of the hottest signatures entering free agency at season’s end, but elected to stay with Mody Maor and the Breakers.
He was also named in the Boomers’ extended FIBA World Cup squad.
New Zealand takes on Brisbane on Thursday night at 5:30pm AEDT, live on ESPN via Kayo.
