Armstrong impresses in pre-draft camp

Tuesday, June 4, 2024
Taran Armstrong was named to the Adidas Eurocamp's All-Camp Team following a string of impressive pre-draft showings.
Taran Armstrong’s NBA hopes have been strengthened by his recent performances at the Adidas Eurocamp, where he impressed alongside the likes of projected 2024 early second round pick, Nikola Djurisic.
Armstrong was named to the All-Camp Team alongside American Darryn Peterson, Serbians Andrej Kostic and Bogoljub Markovic, and Senegal’s Mouhamed Faye, while Djurisic took out Camp MVP honours.
Taipans head coach Adam Forde has often discussed his side’s contingency plans should Armstrong earn an NBA opportunity this season, and has previously said the versatility of new import signing Rob Edwards would help cover the loss should Armstrong depart.
Forde has also previously praised Armstrong’s conduct with the Taipans organisation through this NBA Draft process. ESPN's Olgun Uluc revealed the 22-year-old has worked out with both the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings, and has upcoming workouts with the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Indiana Pacers, sources told ESPN, with more likely to be planned.
