ANZAC DAY

The Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League (NBL) honours Australian and New Zealand Army Corps today, Monday April 25, on ANZAC Day.

“ANZAC Day is one of the most important days on the Australian and New Zealand calendar, and we pause today to remember the sacrifice our ANZACs made to enable us to live freely today,” NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger said.

“We remember all the ANZACs who were lost in battle, as they put their country ahead of themselves in an act of unselfishness that is unmatched.

“We recognise the ANZAC characteristics of courage, equality, endurance and mateship, and remain forever grateful for the Australian and New Zealand service men and women who have served, and who are still serving today.”

We will remember them. Lest we forget.
