Adelaide elevates DP to main roster

The Adelaide 36ers have elevated development player Keanu Rasmussen to the main roster following the departure of Jamaal Franklin from the side.

Rasmussen was initially signed to a development deal alongside fellow NBL1 Central products Akech Aliir, Harvey White and Fraser Roxburgh, and will fill the hole left in Adelaide’s guard rotation.

Rasmussen’s NBL1 campaign with Sturt was cut short by an ankle injury, however he’s fit and ready to make his NBL debut on Friday night against Brisbane.

“He’s a great young talent and he’s a local kid that’s come home, and we are very happy to call Keanu a 36er,” head coach CJ Bruton said.

Jacob Rigoni will continue as the 36ers’ nominated replacement player after Rasmussen’s elevation to the main roster.
