Scott Ninnis says Jarell Martin is exactly the player required to complete Adelaide's NBL25 roster.

The Adelaide 36ers have made an early statement to the league, completing the key signing of NBL22 Jarell Martin for the upcoming season.

The former Sydney Kings' big man previously played two years in the NBL, with averages of 16.0 points and 7.9 rebounds in his most recent season.

He has since spent time in Israel and Turkey and is currently on the comeback trail from injury.

Adelaide 36ers head coach Scott Ninnis says Martin is exactly the player required to complete his NBL25 roster.

“Jarell is the perfect fit for us, he can play at the four (power forward) and also at the five (centre),” Ninnis said.

“He knows the league and he is a proven winner and it’s exciting to see what he can bring to this roster moving forward.”

The 30-year-old will now be reunited with former Sydney championship teammate DJ Vasiljevic.

“To have Jarell come back to the league and to have that connection with DJ already, it’s a big bonus for us,” Ninnis said.

Martin's signing will complete the 36ers' roster for NBL25.

“We are thrilled with what we have put together and we are excited about what this team can do,” Adelaide's GM of Basketball Matt Weston said.

“Jarell brings NBA quality to this roster and championship experience which is invaluable.

“We have got two marquee players in Isaac (Humphries) and DJ (Vasiljevic) and we have complemented them with two high quality imports.

“Under Scott’s leadership and the coaching group we have put together, we can’t wait to see the roster thrive in NBL25.”

Across 59 NBL matches, Martin has averaged 16.8 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
