"The points end up mattering for a placement."

The Perth Wildcats are still a chance to finish second and are well aware of the percentage boost they need to give themselves an opportunity to do so.

If the Wildcats defeat Adelaide on Friday night, and Melbourne lose to South East Melbourne on Saturday, it means Perth and United will both finish on 18 wins.

However, for the Wildcats to jump up to 2nd, it needs a swing of around 30-points to surpass Melbourne on percentage.

With that in mind, Perth is looking to win by as much as possible on Friday night.

“We’re going to try to win and win by as much as we can,” Wildcats star Dylan Windler said via The West Australian

“All of these games in the last round always matter. The points end up mattering for a placement. We’re going to try and win, and win by as much as we can.”

A 2nd placed finish will mean the Wildcats or United avoid the Play-In Tournament and advance straight to the Playoffs.

Tip-off between Perth and Adelaide is 9:30pm AEDT on Friday night, live on ESPN.
