The "revelation" in line for All-NBL First Team

"I’m a huge Harrison fan, got a lot of his stock this season, so I’m expecting a humongous year from him."

He was a “revelation” during the NBL Blitz, but could Tyrell Harrison take his game to the level of an All-NBL First Team player?

Lanard Copeland and Damon Lowery think so.

The NBL legends both have Harrison in their First-Team selections for NBL25, and see the 25-year-old as the big improver in the league.

“I’m a huge Harrison fan, got a lot of his stock this season, so I’m expecting a humongous year from him,” Lowery said on NBL Overtime.

“He’s healthy. He’s gone through a lot of injuries over the last couple of years, but he’s playing with so much confidence now,” Copeland continued.

Harrison averaged 9.6 points a game across NBL24 in 20 minutes’ of game-time, but saw significant uplift at this year’s Blitz, with 17.3 points and 7 rebounds per appearance.

“He looked unbelievable at the Blitz. He looked more assertive offensively, he’s put on more size,” Peter Hooley said.

“Every time he touches the ball, he’s looking at the basket now, he’s not looking to pass the ball out,” Copeland continued.

“The modern game wants to get rid of post players, but you get one dude that commits to going down on the block, wants to go to the body shop and put in work, he’s going to get buckets, he’s going to get fouls, he’s going to suck the defence in,” Lowery added.

Harrison will form a lethal combination with teenage sensation Rocco Zikarsky in the Bullets’ big man department.

They’ll face their first test against the New Zealand Breakers on Saturday night at HoopsFest in Perth.
