Taipans Announce Player Options

Ahead of the 2023 NBL Free Agency period, the Cairns Taipans have announced the decisions on options for Lat Mayen, Majok Deng and Ben Ayre.

The Taipans will exercise their club option for Mayen, while they have elected not to take up their option for Ayre, making him a free agent.

Deng had a mutual club/player option, and he has chosen to explore free agency.

Meanwhile, the Taipans and Mirko Djeric have agreed to a mutual release from the final year of his contract.

The free agency period commences on Thursday.
