Illawarra import signing Justin Robinson believes he and Tyler Harvey will form an imposing duo for the Hawks.
Harvey has been a staple in Illawarra’s lineup for the last two years, establishing himself as one of the NBL’s most explosive scorers.
Now, he has the opportunity to go to another level with the help of his new teammate.
“That's something I'll sit down and talk with him (Harvey) about, it's his team so I want to know what he thinks and what's on his mind,” Robinson told the Illawarra Mercury.
“I've been an assists guy my whole life, so that's what I want to continue to be. I can go get mine at any point, I can score, but who I am is making others around me better however the case may be.
“I'm not a ball-dominant guard, I can play off the ball as well, so being able to allow Tyler to do that, get his own and be who he is is what I'm excited for.
“I talked to Tyler a little bit (before signing) and (the Hawks) are on the brink of everything, winning, and my mindset is just to be a winner.”
Robinson brings NBA experience to Illawarra, having played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons last season.
The Hawks’ campaign tips-off on October 1 against the Sydney Kings.
