NBL Commissioner Jeremy Loeliger has declared the best is yet to come for NBL Oz Gaming in the NBA 2K League.
In their inaugural season, the NBL has won all three of their first 3v3 SLAM OPEN matches.
Loeliger believes more success is coming for the new team, underpinned by the culture that has seen them being labelled the ‘Down Under Dogs’.
“We’re hoping for more success,” Loeliger said on Fox Sports News.
“They’ve played three games so far in their inaugural season. We were the under dogs, and we’ve been called the ‘Down Under Dogs’, we love that title.”

NBL Oz Gaming were predicted to finish towards the bottom of the ladder this season and have proved the league wrong so far, with wins over Raptors Uprising GC, Pacers Gaming and NetsGC.
NBL superstar Jyden has been named the NBA 2K League Player of the Week, with Loeliger mentioning the pride the team has playing for Australia.
Loeliger assures the NBL are strong contenders within the league and will continue to strive for success.

“We’ve so far surprised a lot of people. They’ve played and won their first three games against some really serious contenders, and we’re going to fight this thing all the way down to the wire this season,” Loeliger said.
“Our guys have shown that they’re really up to the challenge, and what’s more, they love playing for NBL Oz Gaming.
“Only one of the players is from Australia, the other four are American but I’ve been spending some time with them over in the U.S lately and they certainly behave like they’re adopted Aussies. They absolutely love the green and gold.”
NBL Oz Gaming will next go head-to-head with Lakers Gaming on Wednesday at 12:45pm AEDT.
