Tasmania coach Scott Roth has declared the JackJumpers are not stressing after their 88-68 loss to the New Zealand Breakers on Sunday.

Tasmania coach Scott Roth has declared the JackJumpers are not stressing after their 88-68 loss to the New Zealand Breakers on Sunday.

The JackJumpers are now down 1-0 in their best-of-three Playoff series against the Breakers, with a spot in the Championship Series on the line.

Roth assured the Tasmanian side is unphased despite the defeat, as they are now in the same position to last season, when they rallied from 1-0 down in the Semi-Finals against Melbourne United to advance to the Grand Final.

“The good news is that it’s a series, we just flush it and move on,” Roth said.

“Our level of competitiveness is what I’m always looking for and I’m sure we’ll be quite competitive on Thursday and we will see what happens.

“We’ve been in these situations before last year.

“We were quite resilient back at home so we’ll see how it goes.”

In order to remain in the Finals, Tasmania needs to gain a win on Thursday night to force a decisive Game 3.

The JackJumpers will host the Breakers at MyState Bank Arena on Thursday night at 7:30pm AEDT, live on ESPN via Kayo Freebies.
