New Zealand Breakers' star Barry Brown Jr will be sidelined for the next two weeks, due to a groin injury.

New Zealand Breakers' star Barry Brown Jr will be sidelined for the next two weeks, due to a groin injury.

Brown Jr has been a revelation for the Breakers in NBL23, averaging 20.4 points across 16 appearances as a picture of consistency, registering double-figure scoring in every game this season.

The 26-year-old is one of the favourites for the league's Best Sixth Man Award, having played a key role in New Zealand's rise from the bottom of the ladder last year, up to third place at the end of Round 14.

Alex McNaught will replace Brown Jr on the roster for the Breakers' clash against Melbourne United on Thursday night.
