Casey Prather is reportedly set to sign a one-year deal with the Brisbane Bullets.

Casey Prather’s resurgence has been one of the best stories of the year. While the Bullets' season may be over, it seems as if the excitement for next season has already begun, with the star forward reportedly set to sign a one-year deal to return in NBL26.

The third leading scorer in the competition with 21.3 points per game, Prather has been a shining light all season long for a Bullets team that had to battle through key injuries down the stretch.

Brisbane and Prather had both been in talks in recent weeks about the possibility of a new deal to have him return next year, the 33-year-old would be the foundation on which the Bullets build on this off-season.

After missing almost two years through injury, Prather joined Brisbane at the back end of the 2023/24 season as an opportunity to show he can get back to playing the best basketball many fans remember from the three-time NBL Champion.

This season, he did all that and more and produced one of the best seasons of his professional career.

Since Round 10, Prather found yet another level, averaging over 25 points per game, shooting at 44 per cent from three and pulling down seven rebounds per game. His spectacular season has seen him in the conversation all season as an MVP candidate and potential All-NBL First Team candidate.

It would be a win for both Bullets fans and NBL fans in general as the fan favourite continues to add to his impressive career. Yet with all he has achieved to this point, perhaps it's only the beginning according to his press conference Thursday Night.

"To be honest, ya'll ain't seen nothing yet."
