Goulding to miss two weeks

Chris Goulding will be out for two weeks after sustaining a calf injury.

Melbourne United superstar Chris Goulding is set to miss the next two rounds with a calf injury.

Goulding suffered the injury late in Melbourne’s 101-98 win over the Sydney Kings on Sunday, and it will put a pause on the shooting heater the 36-year-old is on.

Goulding is having one of his best seasons, coming off a historic 46-point performance last month and averaging 18.8 points in 27 minutes per game, his highest points per game since the 2013/14 season.

Before the injury, coach Dean Vickerman praised Goulding’s recent form.

“I've coached him over eight years and this is one of the most elite patches I've ever seen from him,” Vickerman said.

United travel to New Zealand to face the Breakers on Thursday night at 5:30pm AEDT live on ESPN.
