The Brisbane Bullets’ current longest serving player – Tyrell Harrison – has extended his stay with the club by signing a new two-year deal.
The 23-year-old is entering his seventh season with the Bullets and has joined star forward DJ Mitchell in recommitting to the side for the NBL24 campaign.
The Brisbane-born New Zealand international began his journey with the club in the 2017-18 season, where he made four appearances as a development player.
Injuries restricted him to just 16 games in NBL23, taking his career tally with the Bullets to 85 games.
Head coach Justin Schueller says he’s pleased to lock away the talented big.
“This is a great signing for our club now and into the future,” he said. “Tyrell has shown that he is one of the most talented young big men in the league … his shot changing ability at the rim paired with his efficient ability to score are keys for us moving forward.
“It’s an exciting one-two punch with he and ‘Baynsey’ (Aron Baynes) together.”

Harrison says he’s proud to have re-signed with his hometown team.
“It means everything for me to be staying in Brissy,” he said. “I want to see this club succeed and win a chip. That’s my personal goal for this season.
“Talking to Justin the last couple of weeks about our vision and goals for this team has been exciting. It will be challenging but the player he has in mind – I have no doubt we’ll be ready for those challenges.”
Harrison averaged five points and 4.4 rebounds per game across his 16 NBL23 appearances, and joins Mitchell, Baynes and Nathan Sobey on the Bullets’ roster for next season.
