Bairstow's homecoming locked in at Bullets

Friday, July 12, 2024
"Jarred is a born-and-bred Queenslander and comes from programs where he experienced winning."
After three seasons with the Tasmania JackJumpers, Brisbane-born veteran Jarred Bairstow will head back to where it all started, lining up for the Bullets in NBL25.
Bairstow was born in Brisbane and also started his NBL career with the club across the 2016/2017 season, returning after stints with the Wildcats and championship-winning JackJumpers.
“Jarred is a born-and-bred Queenslander and comes from programs where he experienced winning and what those habits look like,” Bullets coach Justin Schueller said.
“He has stood out in our winter workouts as a guy who has great habits, competes every day and impacts winning 100 per cent of the time.
“His daily approach and veteran leadership will be important for our young bigs cohort, along with his toughness and versatility on the court.”
Bairstow struggled for court-time across the NBL24 campaign, averaging just 4.6 minutes a game, but was seen as a vital part of the JackJumpers' roster across their first three seasons in the league.
“Brisbane is where I grew up playing, so it’s awesome to be back around family and friends,” Bairstow said.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been settled back in Brisbane, and I’ve really enjoyed the last few months playing NBL1 up here and getting to train in the off-season with the Bullets.
“My experience training with the group over the last few months has been unreal. It’s been a great environment, so I’m really looking forward to getting to work with the team.”
Jarred Bairstow joins Josh Bannan, Tyrell Harrison, Sam McDaniel, Mitch Norton, Casey Prather, Isaac White, Rocco Zikarsky, Deng Adel, Tohi Smith-Milner, Keandre Cook and Development Players Kye Savage and Josh Kunen on the Brisbane Bullets' roster.
